Since Sunfield opened its doors in 1991, many strangers have become friends, and we would like to thank everyone who has helped us to realise our dreams. Your interest and contributions, but most importantly, the love for the intellectually disabled adult, did not go unnoticed and continuous to change lives every day.

Regardless of your skill set or financial situation, we would like to invite you to become one of our friends to help Sunfield continue to thrive.

Pop in and meet our residents

You will be blessed with unconditional love!

Give your time

There are so many ways you can help without it costing a cent. You can help a resident to write a letter to family, do arts and crafts, accompany them on a musical instrument or share any talent that you have.

Appoint one of our residents to work at your company

Our residents can play an important role in promoting the positive contributions of the intellectually disabled in society and business. We liaise closely and regularly with the employers to ensure that they are satisfied with the work ethic and quality of the work done by our residents.

As testimony of this, Prowell contacted Sunfield in 2001 offering employment for two of our residents. Jade Grove and Johan Versfeld started working at Prowell shortly thereafter, and are still productively employed there.

We have a wish-list very important to us

Our wish-list contains the many practical items needed to run our facility – contact us for an updated copy.

Assist us financially or sponsor a specific resident

If you should find yourself in the financial position to assist us in any way to help improve the lives of our residents, come and talk to us, or we can provide a formal proposal. We also can provide you with a B-BBEE certificate and an 18A receipt for tax purposes.
